“Welcome to St George's Park where we offer excellent retirement accommodation and a wonderful range of facilities, security and independence within a vibrant and diverse community.”

The Facilities

An investment in a new lease of life

Set in 250 acres of outstanding natural beauty, St. George's Park is probably the most exquisite and visionary development for the over 60's available on the market.

This innovative concept will enable you to enjoy the freedom to concentrate on pleasures and pursuits. If you want to close your door and hop on a ferry to France, or visit family, without the worry of maintenance and security, then you can do just that without a second thought.

Life at St. George's Park is designed around making life as simple as possible for you and utilises current technology to make everything run smoothly. All the apartments and communal areas have been designed for retirement living helping to give you as much freedom as possible.

The telecommunications network will allow free calls within the park, with digital communications for internet access. Satellite TV cabling is also provided for each apartment.

In addition to on site parking, for your convenience there is a minibus service which visits the local towns of Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill giving you the opportunity to shop without the hassle of parking. A pool car is available for your use (subject to conditions) - no need to keep and maintain a car for occasional use as you just hire it by the hour as and when required. More pool cars are planned as demand increases.

Leisure facilities at St George’s Park are extensive and include a well stocked fishing lake with fresh water fish, giving you the opportunity to learn this popular sport or just while away the time within the beautiful scenery right on your doorstep.

Other outdoor facilities include an extensive footpath network within the estate, ideal for a brisk walk or just a gentle stroll. The woodlands feature bluebells in spring and rare protected orchids in the lawns. The many wildfowl inhabiting the lakes and surrounding areas are also protected. Purchase Wood and the front lawns are two designated sites of Special Nature Conservation Interest (SNCI).

We have recently added a three rink artificial bowling green and croquet which are already proving to be a great hit with residents.

If you have green fingers you can join the allotment club (Subject to availability) which is already producing fantastic results.

The congenial surroundings of the cáfe/bar and restaurant are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner offering competitively priced meals. It is an ideal place to meet fellow residents or entertain visiting friends and family. If you wish to enjoy alfresco eating there are patio areas to the front and rear and a superb winter garden for those colder days.

The shopping area offers essentials for everyday living, fresh coffee and newspapers, and many luxury items. You can even buy local farm produce.

The first floor of Maes Court offers a range of facilities including a library with internet services, a games room, and a multi purpose function room ideal for meetings, clubs or as an exercise room. (This room is currently used for the gym and is fitted with specialised equipment).

The treatment room provides excellent amenities for visiting therapists, and there is a hairdressing salon on site for your convenience.

St Georges Park facilities are not only restricted to Maes court. In the later phases a well equipped purpose built Leisure Facility will cater for those who prefer to spend their time in the heated indoor swimming pool, exercising in the multi purpose gym, or perhaps just relaxing in the spa.

There are currently two guest suites available which provide additional accommodation for family and friends should they wish to stay overnight. A reasonable overnight rate applies. Further guest accommodation is planned in future phases.

The original concert hall with its ornate ceiling has become part of the facilities available to residents and is ideal for those special occasions, communal gatherings or events such as plays, guest speakers, film nights or concerts. A number of classical concerts have already taken place in the concert hall.

The Chapel was built in the 1860’s and has always been open to the public. You will be welcome to use it and to participate as fully as you wish in the ongoing religious services and activities. You will also be able to watch services on a selected channel on your own television if you so wish.
