Press Release - December 2010
ST GEORGE’S PARK REAPS COVETED UK PROPERTY AWARD AT LONDON CEREMONY
It was an important and highly positive day for UK real estate on Saturday 27th November when leading property professionals gathered at the Lancaster London Hotel for the presentations of the UK Property Awards in association with Bloomberg Television.
One of these rightly proud winners is St George’s Park which has won in the category of Best Retirement Development in Sussex. The fact that St George’s Park has won one of these coveted awards is proof that Sussex has proved capable of triumphing within the highly competitive UK property arena.
Stuart Shield, chairman of the International Property Awards says, “In our quest to find the most outstanding projects and property professionals from around the world we were fascinated to discover that the total value of the award winning projects was over $100 billion. This helps to contrast with the ‘Bear’ market approach to the property market in general. There are some incredibly strong roots being established for the future growth and generation of properties that are more attractive to look at, safer, kinder to the environment, smarter and able to deliver a better quality of life for those who live and work in them.”
Much of the judging was carried out by the International Property Awards’ panel of judges at the London offices of Bloomberg Television but entries were also outsourced to leading experts in each particular field throughout the world.
This year’s judges included Luke McKend, industry head property markets of Google UK; Peter Bolton King, group chief executive of the National Federation of Property Professionals; Christopher Hall, president elect of FIABCI; Thijs Stoffer, International Consortium of Real Estate Agents Association (ICREA); Fiona Nixon, chairman of the Australia Institute of Architects, Hendrik Nelde, president of FIABCI Belgium; Helen Shield, editor-in-chief of International Homes Luxury Collection magazine and Sven Johns, CEO of the German Real Estate Association.
Philip Smith, sales and marketing director at St George’s Park comments: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this award. The team worked hard to reflect the needs of residents and provide the very best in both services and environment.”
Set in 250 acres of rolling lawns, resplendent landscaped gardens and extensive farmland located just north of the South Downs, in just over three years St. George’s Park has become a thriving community of almost 160 people. The latest phase of two bedroom apartments has just been released all of which have access to an extensive range of facilities including gymnasium, restaurant, shop, cafe/bar, hairdressers, games room, library, 24 hour concierge. A swimming pool and spa, bowling green and tennis court will also be available in future phases of the development.
Prices for two bedroom apartments at St George’s Park start at £345,000. For further information contact the sales office on 01444 259732 or visit www.stgeorgespark.co.uk.
