AWARD WINNING RETIREMENT HOMES AT ST GEORGE’S PARK
|
St George’s Park in Ditchling, East Sussex has been voted The Best Retirement Development by Evening Standard readers at this year’s Evening Standard New Homes Awards. Now in its 19th year, the Evening Standard New Homes Awards recognise exceptional new homes across the country. Judged by readers from a shortlist of 112 entries, this year’s winners have everything that buyers want - inventive design, wow-factor interiors, eco-friendly features, glamour and great value.
Testament to the award is the recent success of the latest phase of apartments at the development. Providing a new bowling green plus a collection of 42 further apartments the phase has proved to be extremely popular with purchasers with 25% reserved prior to launch. Prices currently start from around £345,000 for a two bedroom apartment.
Philip Smith, sales and marketing director at St George’s Park comments: “For the past five years, we’ve been working hard to create a retirement development with a difference and it is great to be recognised for this.
“St. George’s Park is where, regardless of ability, residents can enjoy their retirement to the full in the manner that best suits them – whether that’s in the gym, the library or on one of the allotments.”
Set in 250 acres of rolling lawns, resplendent landscaped gardens and extensive farmland located just north of the South Downs, in just over three years St. George’s Park has become a thriving community of almost 160 people.
The hub of the village is provided by its own highly specified and well used community centre, Máes Court, named after the Order’s founder Cannon Máes. The ground floor includes a large range of amenities for residents including a café/bar and restaurant.
The first floor offers a range of services including a library with broadband internet, a games room plus a multi-purpose function room ideal for meetings, clubs or as an exercising room. The treatment room provides excellent amenities for visiting therapists and there is even a hairdressing salon on site.
Outside, there is a golf practice net and boules pitch and tennis court is scheduled in one of the future phases. There is also a well stocked lake where residents can while away their time fishing.
The original concert hall, with its ornate ceiling, is available to residents and makes an ideal place for special occasions, communal gatherings or events such as plays, guest speakers, film nights or concerts.
However the real piece de resistance for St. George’s Park is its social side. After just over three years, the residents have created their own active community through the myriad of social clubs and wide range of events which are organised.
St. George's Park may enjoy rural tranquillity but is far from being remote. Brighton & Hove is the largest sea-side resort in South-East England and is just 12 miles away.
Brighton and Hove has a cosmopolitan and vibrant energy which combined with gracious 18th century architecture and interesting curiosity shops make it a fascinating place for you to visit. Café bars, bijou restaurants, theatres, shows, cinemas, arts festivals plus a marina make this a wonderful place to have virtually on your doorstep.
St George’s Park is within 3 miles of Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill, both of which offer good local shopping including major supermarkets, and excellent Rail links to Brighton, Gatwick Airport and London Victoria.
Prices start at £345,000 for a two-bedroom apartment. For further information contact the sales office on 01444 259732 or visit www.stgeorgespark.co.uk.
